We are pleased to announce the dates for the 2008 NHN Homeschool Convention! Please mark your calendars for June 20th and 21st.

The convention will be located at UNLV's Student Union Building, 4505 Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV

We regret that this year we are unable to provide childcare, so please start making your arrangements now so that you may attend without your children.

Please be thinking about what you can do to help make this convention a success. We need MANY volunteers. We'll be updating with more specific needs soon.
Some main needs are:

We are very pleased to be able to announce our speakers and topics!

Our Keynote Presenter will be Tracy Klicka. We are very blessed to be able to hear her encouraging words! She'll be speaking on;

I Think I'll Quit Homeschooling; Five Reasons Why Moms Quit School and How You Can Keep from Becoming a Dropout.

Our Featured Speaker will be Dan Sinclair. Many of you will remember Dan's workshops from last year's convention. This year he will be speaking on:
Creating a Vision
Raising Royalty
Teaching Reading for Understanding!
You are Different and so am I!

Both Friday and Saturday we will be having Round Table Topics. This will be an informal format, each table with 8-10 chairs (more if necessary) with multiple topics going on in the same banquet area. These topics include, but are not limited to:
Dyslexia
Highschool to College & Life
Scouting & Homeschooling
Constitution
Economics in the Homeschool
How to teach Co-op Speech & Debate
New Homeschoolers
Homeschool Legal Issues
Unschooling
How to build and support Teen Groups
How to Teach Co-op Intro to Economics Class

Businesses that sell homeschool/education related products or services may request a vendor packet and application for consideration in the 2008 NHN Homeschool Convention.

Confirmation letters will be mailed out upon approval.

Vendor acceptance for the NHN Homeschool Convention is at the discretion of the exhibit hall coordinators and the convention committee.
