Tracy Klicka

is the wife of Christopher Klicka, Senior Counsel of Home School Legal Defense Association. Married 21 years, they have been blessed with seven children ranging from age 7 to 17, whom they have homeschooled since their birth. Through many trials over the years (including the near-death of their twins during her pregnancy, and the current and ongoing struggle of Chris' multiple sclerosis), Tracy has learned firsthand what walking by faith is all about. She has seen over and over again the outpouring of God's grace in her life, and the precious importance of the Scriptures in sustaining and empowering believers. Her message for moms is one of hope and joy in God, who is able to make all grace abound to us (II Corinthians 9:8). She has written dozens of articles, has been interviewed on both national and international media, and has spoken at numerous state homeschool conventions to encourage women to see God's faithfulness as they take him at His Word.

Keeping the HEART in homeschooling:
As Tracy Klicka has experienced, it is not always easy for a homeschooling mom to keep her focus, her joy, or the hearts of her children. More than academics, homeschooling is about growing in God's grace for both parents and children! If you are feeling discouraged, come and be renewed in five crucial areas of your homeschooling adventure.

How to keep Your Sanity While Homeschooling:
Tracy Klicka identifies common causes of stress in homeschooling and family life, and provides helpful ideas on how to deal with stress from a godly perspective. Included in her talk are the issues of lifestyle, use of time, and getting help.

I Think I'll Quit Homeschooling; Five Reasons Why Moms Quit School and How You Can Keep from Becoming a Dropout:
Tracy Klicka hasn't met a homeschool mom yet who at some point in her homeschooling experience doesn't desperately want to quit. Sometimes it seems the challenges are more than we can take, but there is hope. Be encouraged not just to survive, but to thrive in raising children for the Lord.

Dan Sinclair

is a home educator and father to three. He teaches and speaks on numerous topics, including math, finance, reading, learning differences, and raising royalty. An entrepreneur at heart, Dan seeks to educate parents and students regarding the need for understanding stewardship. Dan is president of three different companies. He directs each one to reach its goal of helping parents teach to the unique needs of their children.

Creating a Vision :
Creating a vision is talked about in scripture more often that many people realize. How we see things, or don't see them, can make major differences in our lives. It is critical for home educators to have a vision for where they are going and for their family. This session will give you the opportunity to understand the importance of having a vision based lifestyle, not just for today but for eternity.

Raising Royalty:
Honor, leadership, integrity, respect, and servanthood are characteristics taught to the sons of royal families. We are responsible for raising our children, and those we disciple, as royalty. Come and learn how to grasp the incredible identity we have as sons of the Most High God!

Teaching Reading for Understanding! :
Reading is hard to teach! I would rather teach math! There are 26 letters, but 52 different characters and they can dress up in so many different fonts! Teaching reading is probably the most important educational goal for any home educator, yet it is one of the most difficult. In this workshop we will look at some simple yet effective ways to teach reading!

You are Different and so am I!:
This fun and interactive workshop helps you see yourself and others in a way that brings understanding! We are all different, yet each of us is made in the image and likeness of God. So we all share attributes and characteristics, but not all in the same way or to the same level. This workshop will help you understand some of the difficulties that these differences bring and how to help better communicate!

Stewart Rhodes

is a graduate of Yale Law School, where he won Yale's Miller Prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. Before attending law school, Stewart served as an Army paratrooper, and worked as a Nevada concealed carry firearms instructor. Stewart currently writes a monthly column for S.W.A.T. Magazine, called Enemy At the Gate, which is dedicated to the Bill of Rights. Stewart also writes for Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (JPFO) which is America's most aggressive, no compromise gun rights organization. Stewart has taught many classes on a wide range of subjects, including assisting in the teaching of military history at Yale University, and truly loves to teach. Stewart and his wife Tasha homeschool their four children and he looks forward to presenting this lecture to fellow homeschoolers.

Understanding the Constitution: Introduction To Fundamental Principles of Our Republic
In this dynamic and entertaining lecture, constitutional scholar and accomplished lecturer Stewart Rhodes will teach the fundamental principles of liberty which form the foundation of our Constitutional Republic, beginning with the causes of our Revolution, the Declaration of Independence, and the basic structure of limited, divided, and dual sovereignty government established by the Constitution. Special attention will be paid to the Bill of Rights - its purpose, and how it guides us in constitutional interpretation. This is the foundation of knowledge that past generations of Americans used to be taught, but now few know.
Even if you consider yourself well versed on the Constitution, please attend to refresh your knowledge and to perhaps learn a few things you may have missed, so we may all have this vital knowledge to pass on to our children so they can preserve our Republic.

**This is a 2 part presentation lasting two hours, with a break in the middle so you can go and get some food for lunch and bring it back for the second half of the class. There will be class handouts and time for questions and answers at the end.

The Bill of Rights and Current Threats to the Liberties Protected by it.
In this small group discussion, constitutional scholar and accomplished lecturer Stewart Rhodes will lead a discussion focusing on the Bill of Rights and on current threats to the liberties protected by the Bill of Rights. The discussion will range across the Bill of Rights, from the First Amendment, to the Second Amendment (and the current DC v. Heller case now before the US Supreme Court), to the rights protected by the 4th, 5th, 6th, amendments, etc. This will build on the two-hour lecture Stewart will present on Friday, June 20, but it is not necessary that you attended that lecture to participate in Saturday's small group discussion (though it is advised). Once again, this is vital knowledge that we all need to know to ensure that our children have an understanding of their heritage so they may preserve our Republic. There will be discussion handouts and time for questions and answers at the end.
